If you are trying to learn how to paint at home from a video course, then you need to consider what they offer first. Just because its on a DVD doesn’t mean its high quality. Making your own DVD’s in today’s world is actually really easy, so you might find some amateur artists creating their own learn to paint DVD’s in an attempt to make some money.
Almost everything you learn begins with basics. Most DVD’s I have seen, assume that you actually have a little knowledge of painting, even though they offer great advice. If you are a novice then this can just confuse you, and you can end up spending a small fortune without improving your painting. This could actually frustrate you to the point of losing interest.
When looking for a painting lesson program make sure to look at the contents. The first place to start is with the instructor. Who is the author? You are going to need to be comfy with the instructor and confident that they actually have the ability to teach you.
Do your homework on the author. You don’t need to have a world class artist to teach you. Top artists will probably not be teaching art. You should be able to find a good amount of their work online to look at. This will let you know if the artist’s style is to your liking.Check out their training, bio and history of painting and how long they have. If you are happy with the teacher then you need to read reviews on the program itself.
Learning to paint in your home is easy as long as your teacher is open minded, friendly and comprehensive when they teach. You are paying for the course, so why shouldn’t it work. A teacher that you need to check out is Gayle Levee, author of Learn & Master Painting. Take a second and check out the Learn and Master Painting Review if you want, plus also check out Learn and Master Guitar Review from the same company.
